Solar EclispeLIBRARIES HOST SOLAR ECLIPSE EVENTS
Lincoln City Libraries "invites" the 'public' to several events to help families prepare for safely viewing the solar eclipse.
Participants will receive a pair of eclipse viewing glasses, make a pinhole viewer and enjoy other games and crafts.
The schedule is as follows:
• Wednesday, August 9, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Bennett Martin, 136 S. 14th St.
• Wednesday, August 9, 2 to 4 p.m., South Branch, 2675 South St.
• Saturday, August 12, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Walt Branch, 6701 S. 14th St.
A limited number of eclipse viewing glasses will be available for the public following each program. Libraries not hosting programs will have glasses for distribution.

OTHER GREAT ECLIPSE VIEWING LOCATIONS
- Great viewing in the wide open expanses of Spring Creek Prairie Audubon Center (11700 SW 100th St., Denton). Just 20 minutes southwest of Lincoln, Spring Creek Prairie offers an 850 acre native tallgrass prairie preserve with miles of walking trails.
- Enjoy the eclipse from one of the 125 neighborhood parks or 131 miles of trials in Lincoln. Many parks offer restrooms, picnic areas, and parking.
