Campaign for Willard

THE OPPORTUNITY: Taking the Game to the Community! The Lincoln Parks and Recreation Advisory Board and the Lincoln Parks Foundation have given approval for the Friends of Woods Tennis to lead a $5.6 million campaign called “Taking the Game to the Community” to improve Woods Park Tennis Center. The Lincoln Parks Foundation serves as the fiscal sponsor for this campaign, which is expected to run 12-18 months. The Lincoln Parks Foundation is a 501 (c) 3 organization so all donations are tax deductible. The nearby Witherbee and Woods Park Neighborhood Associations have endorsed this project. A VARIETY OF PROMINENT NAMING OPPORTUNITIES ARE AVAILABLE TO DONORS, INCLUDING:

  • Naming of the facility: “The (your name) Tennis Center at Woods Park” $2.5 million
  • Community Gallery & Upper Viewing Deck: $500,000
  • Indoor Courts: $300,000
  • Mezzanine Viewing Deck: $250,000
  • Community Gallery: $250,000
  • Outdoor Courts: $200,000
  • Grand Slam Club: $100,000

All donors $1,000 and above will be recognized at the new facility.

CAMPAIGN TEAM

The Friends of Woods Tennis organization (FOWT) is working with the Lincoln Parks Foundations and SLR Communications to develop a funding strategy for the “Taking the Game to the Community” campaign. This plan may include, but is not limited to, income from the following: grants and major gifts, naming opportunities for the building and its amenities, special events and an ongoing tribute program.
